Kristin is a 13 year old rider from Ashburn, Virginia. At age 12, she became a member of the Emerging Dressage Athlete Program and received her USDF Bronze medal. In 2013 and 2014, she was invited to attend the Courtney King-Dye Horsemastership clinic where she trained with JJ Tate, Lendon Gray, Scott Hassler, Debbie McDonald, and Courtney King-Dye. Kristin and Bellinger, Lauren Sprieser’s 22-year-old Trakehner gelding, were the Overall Champions at Lendon Gray’s Youth Dressage Festival in Saugerties, NY in 2013, where, the previous year, she was the overall dressage seat equitation champion. At the 2013 USDF Region 1 finals, Kristin and Bellinger were Champions in the Second Level Jr/Yr division and won the 3rd place ribbon in the Third Level Jr/Yr division. Kristin also competed at the first USDF National Dressage Championships in Kentucky in 2013 in the open second level musical freestyle division, finishing 6th in the nation. In 2014, Kristin qualified for and participated in the USEF Festival of Champions at Gladstone, NJ in both the FEI Pony and FEI Junior divisions. Kristin and her pony Esperanza were reserve champions in the USDF Region 1 Dressage Seat Medal Semi Finals in 2013, earning the right to compete in the 2014 USEF Dressage Seat Medal Finals. Kristin is also an active member of the US Pony Club at Misty Brae Farm Pony Club Riding Center in Aldie, Virginia.
